Today’s program features another one of Jay’s interviews with the “unsung” heroes of the industry. Kenny Vance joins Jay from his home in New York and talks about a career that has spanned over 40 years. While Kenny’s name may not be a household word he is an original member of Jay and the Americans, toured with the Stones and the Beatles, has been a producer and involved with classic films such as Animal House, Eddie and the Cruisers, Looking for an Echo and so much more. Currently he tours with his group the Planetones doing his own variety of the sounds of that era. Jay also pays tribute to another “unsung” hero of the day who passed last week, Billy Preston with a special musical tribute.
